Communication systems analysis and design : a system approach
The objective of this set is to prepare the senior-year electrical engineering student with enough of a theoretical and technical background in the broad field of communications system to allow the student to move into any of the many specialty areas which are involved with modern communication system with enough of an understanding of the field as a whole to see how and where his or her specialty area interfaces with the entire system.
Supplemental topic areas that might prove helpful include random-signal theory and analysis techniques; communication and noise-signal theory; advanced electromagnetics (including T-line fields and antenna, propagation, and scattering theory); quantum electronics (laser and maser theory); advanced electronic circuitry (including integrated-circuit theory and techniques, etc.); digital computer hardware, architecture, systems, and programming; linear programming and scheduling techniques; optics; and physiological responses to audio and visual stimuli.
